Congratulations to the Under 9's & 10's teams who both reached the Finals of there respective age groups in the Marple Tournament today. Both were unfortunately beaten. A great effort by both teams and everyone at the club is really proud of you.

Well done to the Under 8's who took part in the Marple Tournament today with one team getting to the semi final of the competition.

For The Summer School Holidays, Jordan and his team of coaches from Hale United are running seven week’s of Football & Multi-Sports Holiday Course's at Bowdon Cricket & Hockey Club. The dates start from Week One Monday 14th July and run all the way to Week Seven Friday 29th August. Congratulations to the Under 6's who got to the final today in the Barclays Tournament. The boys played some really good football and were very unluckily to lose in the final 5-4. Well done from everyone at the club.

Please note that for training on the next two Saturdays 21st & 28th June everyone will be training at Bowdon C of E School, Grange Road , Bowdon, Altrincham, WA14 3EX due to a Hockey tournament at Bowdon Cricket Club.

Well done to all the teams competing in the Edgerton Tournament the weekend just gone. The under 6’s two teams got to the semi-finals which was a fantastic achievement.

Also well done to the Under 9’s who did really well in getting to the quarterfinals playing against some tough opposition.

Congratulations to the Under 8’s team who entered the competition and came out winners after a tense penalty shootout in the final.

Thanks for everyone who attended the Presentation evenings for the under 8’s, 9’s & 10’s this week they were two great nights enjoyed by all. Thanks to the Hale Grill for hosting the two evenings.

At the Stockport League’s award ceremony this years Under 11, picked up an award for the best fair play throughout the season, which was a great achievement for the team and for the club.

Next weeks training times are going to be 3:30-4:30 but still on the same day your child normally trains on, this is due to the children been off school.

Congratulations to the Under 8 Hawks who completed the DOUBLE yesterday by winning the Stockport Under 8 Cup. Well done to all the players on a fantastic achievement and to go the whole season unbeaten!

Some great results for the Hale United teams today. Firstly an excellent result for the Under 8’s Hawks, who had a top of the table clash with Marple Athletic in which they won 3-0, to put them top of the league. !

Secondly the Under 11’s who had an excellent 5-1 win against FC Blue Star to keep them in third place pushing the top two.

Well done to the Under 11’s who won last Saturday 12-0, there best win since the club was formed. They have been on a great run of later winning there last five games and only conceding three goals. The team are now in contention to get promoted in there first season at eleven-side. Keep up the good work lads.

The club would like to wish Under 11 coach Mikhail Fogel all the best as he is moving on in his career. Mikhail has done exceptional well with the team over the last two seasons and will be missed. Mikhail will still be around the club and helping the team out when he can. The under 11’s will now be taken over by Joe Gallagher so good luck Joe and the team for the rest of the season.

Congratulations to Lewis Gottlieb who plays for our Under 8's who has signed a pre contact with Manchester City, everyone at the club would like to say a big 'well done'.

All training and matches for today have been cancelled due to front and snow on the pitches.

A big congratulations to the under 10s team who got to the final of the Stockport Indoor Tournament, who were unfortunately beaten 2-1 in the final by Poynton.

All games for the weekend of the 12th & 13th January 2008 have been cancelled due to the saturated ground conditions following the recent heavy rain.

The club is now back open after Christmas and the New Year and training days/times are still the same as of before Christmas.

The club will be shutting down for Christmas after the weekend games on the 15th & 16th December and will be opening back up on Saturday 5th January. The club would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

There is now a tables page available in the fixtures section, so you can now see how the teams are doing in there league. Please not that at under 9 & 10's there are no league tables.

The club would like to congratulate one of the parents Graham Stamford who passed his Level Two Football Coaching Badge this weekend. This is good news for the club as Graham helps out coaching one of the under 8 teams.

Weekend fixtures are now on the internet and they will be put on the internet the Wednesday before the weekend fixture.

One of our under 7's teams did brilliantly in the Stockport Junior Blues tournament last weekend, they managed to get to the final but unfortunately lost on penalties. The defeat was hard to take as the team hadn't lost a game or conceded a goal in the whole tournament.

Well done to all our teams who played in this weekend's Edgerton tournament, it was a great weekend enjoyed by all.

Under 11 & 12's- Training Bowdon Cricket Club 09:15-11:15 (For this week only)

On Saturday 26th May there will be no training due to it being a Bank Holiday Weekend. There will also be no training on Monday 28th either because of this. Training is as normal from Tuesday 29th May.

After a successful first season in the Stockport League next Sunday 20^th May there will be a presentation day for the players at:

All Players and Parents of the teams are invited to attend, all players will receive a trophy, which the club has paid for, for participating in their league. If you cannot make it then please let me your coach know, so they can collect your sons/daughter trophy for them,

On Saturday 12^th & 19^th May 2007 Bowdon Club will be hosting 2 big Hockey Festivals, therefore training for all players will be moved to Bowdon Church Primary School playing fields on Grange Road, just behind the Aqua Turf. It will run as normal 9:15 – 11:15 and we look forward to seeing you there.

The Under 15's last game of the season this Sunday 22nd is a very important match. They are currently 3rd in the league and are playing away against 2nd place to which they trail by one point. The team must win to match to achieve promotion which would be a excellent achievement in there first season. This weekend is the last games of the season for under 9's, 10's and 15's. After a very successful first season as a club the future is very encouraging well done to all players involved in the teams.

A Parent from Hale United John Stevenson is entering a race in which he will run 161 miles over A 7 day period in Morocco. A big 'Well Done' to all our teams who played this weekend, all our teams got excellent results in there respected games.

Well done to the under 10's who took part in there tournament this weekend. Although they did not reach the knock out stages they came 4^th in their group, only 4 points behind the group winners Chapel Town Juniors. Hale only conceded 1 goal in their 7 games and finished with the best defensive record.

A big well done to the Under 9 teams who took part in the tournament on Saturday. The Viking's made the quarter finals . They were knocked out on a sudden death penalty shootout and did us proud. The Warrior's team unfortunately did not progress beyond the league stage but gave it their best shot against some very tough opposition and managed 2 draws.

As Christmas is approaching, training will now start to stop over Christmas here are the dates that training will resume for the different ages groups:

Under 7's & 8's last training session before Christmas will be on Tuesday 19th December and will start up again on Saturday 6th January and then will continue to train on Tuesday as well starting Tuesday 9th January.

Under 9's,10's,11's,12's and 15's, training will start up again on Friday 5th January.

As the Christmas break approaches the club have had a great start to there first season and is getting better and more organized week by week. We are in the process of arranging more fixtures for under 6's, under 7's and under 8's which will be scheduled for after the New Year.

The club is delighted to announce that Under 9 Viking's star Lucy Shaw, has been asked to go on a three week trial with Manchester United under 10 girls after impressing a scout who was watching Hale United v Juno last Saturday 18/11/06.

Lucy the only girl in the Viking's team has been in outstanding form this season and fully deserves her chance to go and show the red devils what she has to offer. Well done Lucky and everyone at Hale United wishes you all the best with your trails.
