Child Protection PolicyWe all enjoy coming to training and playing but the health and safety of our players is of paramount importance. To ensure our players play in the safe and friendly environment they deserve we have taken a number of measures to guarantee that outcome. Some of these steps are detailed below others are in the process of being formalised: • All managers and coaches will be required to attain at least the FA level One Course in Football coaching which gives guidance on player development, first aid and child protection measures • All managers and coaches will be ‘police checked’ as required by FA guidelines • All qualified FA coaches are to maintain their child protection and first aid qualifications • The club is to maintain public liability insurance • Parent and guardians must ensure that players are collected at the end of the sessions and that players and coaches are aware of any collection arrangements • Any medical conditions must be set out on the player registration details form Any incident of suspected mental or physical abuse should be reported to a club official immediately, where it will be refereed to the appropriate body, under the strictest confidence. The club does not wish to alarm anybody with this statement and has no cause to expect that any such abuse has or is ever likely to occur, but in the current climate we must ensure that both players and managers/coaches are protected from any harm. The club has appointed Nick Morley as it's child protection officer, he can be contacted as follows: E-mail: nick@haleunited.com Mobile: 07799530403
